Celebrating Central Park With Spotify and KIDZ BOP

Spotify, the world’s most popular audio streaming platform, teamed up with KIDZ BOP, the most popular artist on Spotify for families, to host a free concert in Central Park on Saturday, May 25. The event was part of Spotify’s “Summer of Fun” series, which aims to bring live music and entertainment to New Yorkers and visitors alike. The concert featured performances by KIDZ BOP Kids, a group of talented young singers who record kid-friendly versions of today’s biggest pop music hits. Since 2002, KIDZ BOP has sold over 22 million albums and generated over 6 billion streams worldwide. “KIDZ BOP has been an established brand that families love for years—before Spotify even existed!” noted Dustee Jenkins, Head of Public Affairs at Spotify.

The KIDZ BOP Kids performed songs from their latest album, KIDZ BOP 2023, released on January 20, 2023. The album includes hits such as “About That Time,” “Sunroof,” “Late Night Talking,” and “Dance Monkey.” The latter song has over 151 million views on YouTube and is one of the most streamed songs on Spotify.

The concert also featured interactive activities for kids and parents, such as a sign and dance-along session with American Sign Language interpreters, a photo booth, a face painting station, and a merchandise shop. The event was attended by thousands of fans who enjoyed the sunny weather and the upbeat music. Spotify and KIDZ BOP have collaborated to create playlists and podcasts for families for several years. Spotify offers a dedicated Kids app that provides a safe and fun listening experience for children aged 3 and up. KIDZ BOP also has its channel on Spotify, where listeners can find all their albums, singles, and videos.

The concert was a celebration of the partnership between Spotify and KIDZ BOP and a way to thank their loyal fans for their support.

“We are thrilled to partner with Spotify to bring this amazing concert to Central Park, and we hope everyone had a blast singing and dancing along with us!”. Said Sasha Junk, President of KIDZ BOP.
