Spotify House at CMA Fest Highlights Countries Emerging
Spotify, the world’s leading audio streaming service, hosted its fifth annual Spotify House at CMA Fest from June 8 to 11, 2023, at Ole Red in downtown Nashville. The four-day event featured over 70 performances by some of the hottest names and rising stars in country music, as well as surprise guests and exclusive content.
Spotify House showcased the diversity and talent of the country genre, highlighting artists from different backgrounds, styles, and regions.
Some performers included Sam Hunt, Diplo, Old Dominion, Lady A, Brothers Osborne, Ingrid Andress, Luke Grimes, Mickey Guyton, Hailey Whitters, Dierks Bentley, Brad Paisley, and more.The event also celebrated Spotify’s Hot Country playlist, which has over 6.5 million followers and features the best new and classic country music. Spotify House attendees could enjoy a photo moment with a giant Hot Country logo and access a curated playlist of all the artists performing at the event.
One of the highlights of Spotify House was the Fresh Finds x The Sims Rooftop Stage, which showcased some of the most promising and innovative emerging artists in country music. The stage was inspired by The Sims 4: Cottage Living Expansion Pack, which allows players to create their rural paradise. Some artists who performed on the rooftop stage included Priscilla Block, Willie Jones, Lainey Wilson, Parker McCollum, and Tenille Arts.
Spotify House also featured several surprise appearances and collaborations that delighted the fans. For example, on Thursday night, Diplo joined Sam Hunt on stage for a remix of his hit song “Body Like a Back Road.” On Friday night, Lady A surprised the crowd with a special guest appearance by Carly Pearce for their duet “Like a Lady.” On Saturday night, Brad Paisley brought out his fellow American Idol judge Luke Bryan for a rendition of “I’m Gonna Miss Her.” And on Sunday night, Dierks Bentley closed out the event with a surprise performance by Keith Urban for their collaboration “Beers on Me.”
Spotify House was free to attend and open to the public, attracting thousands of country music fans and industry professionals. The event also offered attendees food and drinks, merchandise giveaways, and interactive experiences. Spotify’s Head of Music Programming, John Marks, said:
